On their debut release Eternally, Portland Maine’s By Blood Alone bring forth heavy goth-rock for a diverse set of moods, blending haunting female vocals, classic horror movie keyboards and prog-tinged power metal guitar riffs. While definitely dark, they step forward without adhering to genre cliches of depression, darkness and decay. It Magazine’s Matt Morris said of By Blood Alone: “It’s about the romanticism and drama of tragedy. By Blood Alone comes through as the small orchestra in the pit of a contemporary theater tragedy.”
