w/Monique Ortiz & Jonah Sacks of Bourbon Princess

Thanks so much to everyone who came to the show on Saturday. The turnout was even better than we expected and we we’re thrilled to see how many of you dressed up for the occasion. The local scene was well represented, with members of Supersoul Challenger, Ocean, Cover in Bees, Kurixis, Big Coffin Hunters, 13 Winters, Sinferno and many others in the audience. Live sound was great and the joint looked great as well – Cruella did a spectacular job in the decorating dept. Monique and Jonah of Bourbon Princess put in an awesome set and, judging by the enthusiastic applause between numbers, went over quite well. She has a lovely, sort of jazzy voice and a very unique bass style that his cello work fit with very nicely. We’re very much looking forward to seeing them in Portland again. Despite his busy schedule as a caped crime-fighter, Captain Awesome did an excellent job filling in on drums for us. All in all, one of our best nights.
